Services at Masjid Bilal

From the five daily prayers to Quran classes, sisters' programs, and outreach in the neighborhood,
this is where our community gathers, learns, and looks out for one another.

Daily Prayers

Join us for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha, prayed in congregation every day. Stop in between errands or stay a while — there's always a quiet space here to pray.

Quranic and Islamic Studies

We offer Quran recitation and memorization classes for all ages, along with regular lessons on Hadith and the seerah — the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) — so learning doesn't stop after childhood.

Women’s Programs

Our sisters have their own halaqas (study circles), social gatherings, and classes built around what matters most to them — a space to grow spiritually and build real friendships within the community.

Lectures and Seminars

Throughout the year we bring in speakers and host seminars covering everything from core Islamic knowledge to the issues our community is actually facing day to day — less lecture, more conversation.

Community Outreach

Service doesn't stop at our doors. Our outreach includes educational workshops, youth mentorship, and volunteer opportunities across Syracuse — small, consistent ways of living out the compassion and service Islam calls us to.

Special Events and Celebrations

Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, and the nights of Ramadan are some of our favorite times of year — communal prayers, shared iftars, and a masjid that's genuinely full. These are the moments that turn a congregation into a community.

Neighborhood Clean-Up Initiative

On weekends, you'll find a group of our students and youth out on the streets around Masjid Bilal — gloves on, trash bags in hand, clearing litter off the sidewalks and curbs. It's simple work, but it means something: the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that removing something harmful from the road is itself an act of faith. This is our students living that out, block by block, for the neighbors who share this community with us.
